Location

We live in a small, progressive community in western Washington State. It is located at the southern-most end of Puget Sound and is a short drive from the Cascade and Olympic Mountains. It is centrally located one hour from Seattle and two hours from Portland, Oregon.

In this state capital city, the combination of state government and a liberal university (Evergreen State College) makes for a great mix of people, each broadening their outlook by living with the other. It is the home of the “Procession of the Species, an annual celebration of Earth Day to honor its diverse inhabitants. Olympia has a large Farmer’s Market, and in Washington, it is second in size only to Pike Place Market in Seattle.
