We are the first cohousing community in Olympia, Washington! Come see us, on the west side of town, on about 3 acres. The first phase (3 four-plexes) are nearly completed. When phase 2 is complete we will have 19 homes.
Joining Woodard Lance Cohousing may qualify you for the Home Buyers $6500-8000 Tax Credit.
Families with children may qualify for further financial assistance.

We will build a 2,000-3,000 square foot common house for community activities and shared resources (large kitchen and dining area, laundry, recreation room, kids space, storage, and guest facilities). We will have a large vegetable garden, central green space with a play area for the kids, a workshop, community chickens, and an enclosed area for bikes. We are excited about being the first cohousing project in the city of Olympia.

We broke ground last summer and just finished construction. We hired a built-green certified builder in order to minimize the use of toxic materials.
Our homes will be energy efficient with solar, on-demand hot water and radiant floor heat. Our property is located at the end of a quiet street, bordering a wooded ravine. We cleared some trees (kept as many as possible), installed a storm water system, and regraded the property.
One building will have one home reserved as the temporary Common House, until we build the future Common House in Phase Two.
